Question:

Why are things going badly for Republicans?

Seems Bush tried to scare the electorate with stories about Iran's nuclear power plant. That is being monitored continually by UN observers, and they confirm it's just a nuclear power station.

Then we had the Georgia conflict, when Bush sent 1000 US military advisors into Georgia - right next door to Russia to stir things up and help Georgia reclaim SOssetia . It back-fired, the Russians repelled them..

But Hurricane Gustav has reminded everybody how he let the American people down. And we're learning daily that many people still don't have a home THREE years on from Katrina.

And now conservative values have blown-up when we learn that Palin has put her career above the needs of her family - by choosing to put her young daughter under such intense media pressure whilst she's pregnant.( I bet I know what Bush is thinking about this.)

So it seems despite his attempts to "swing" the voters over to Republicans - that things have a habit of levelling back up again. Funny world.

  1. THIS IS THE RESULT OF BUSH'S EIGHT YEARS AND WHAT MCCAIN WILL DO!

reasons why the obama biden ticket is better:

    1. obama has much more experience than palin. look at this palin just came from nowhere to be a vice president. in two months do you think people in all of america will know what she eally possesses? no....obama has been on the campaign for some time and has truly demonstrated with hard work of who he really is.

    2. he has taken his criticism and showed that he has class and quality

    3. mccain says he has been a 'veteran' of war but obama is a true veteran of the community and will be a veteran for america? obama gave up his acception to work at the wall street and he been supporting communities most of his livelihood.

    4. he loves all races. he has a mixed heritage and i think both white and black people will learn to love each other more and more everyday.

    5. obama do not use people to get votes. he expects people to vote on issues unlike mccain who is a user and uses palin just to get votes. i'm sure he would ask palin to leave if she ever gets to be v.p.

    6. my vice leader biden has exceptional experience in the senate.

    7. he has good foreign policy experience which would give the country a good edge in making useful negotiations with other countries on the issue of war

MY TWO LEADERS OBAMA AND BIDEN HAVE CLASS AND EXCEPTIONAL QUALITIES. OBAMA AND BIDEN ALL THE WAY!!!!

  2. Don't worry about it.

As far as all the mean and nasty personal attacks that have, and will, continue to be thrown at the Palin family, take heart.

God with never give you more then you can bare or handle.

These are good people and they will pull through with flying colors.

The undecided will soon tire of morons beating up on a mother of 5 and a pregnant daughter.

It will come back to bite you on the A$$.

    So enjoy it now

    Funny Boy

  3. Au, contrare!  Things are going spendidly!  Obama has seen a continuous drop in polls and received NO bounce (unheard of!) after the convention, conservative and independent voters are fired up over the choice of Gov. Palin as VP, the Russian baiting of the Georgians by supporting Ossestian terrorist attacks against them has awakened the world to their fascist regime and its intentions, the world is united at ending Iran's nuclear weapons program, the people have seen how much FEMA has improved due to the threat of Gustav, conservative values have been re-affirmed by Palin's total support to her daughter, and it now appears that McCain will be a shew in.  I'm an independent but I can see how the Republicans have been energized - and a segment that until now was not likely to vote come November.  Even a look at the thumbs up vs down have shown a large bias of late towards those expounding Republican ideals.

What's that smell in the air?  It seems to be coming from the pants of liberals.

  4. Things are not going badly.

Bush has been vindicated about Katrina. If the people would have heeded the warning like they did this time a disaster would have been avoided.

Spin all you want it doesn't add up.

  5. If you think Iran is an imaginary problem (like Saddam Hussein) you are sadly mistaken.

Georgia = Czechoslovakia Putin = Hitler Obama=Neville Chamberlain. At least Bush is doing something.

Katrina, why don't you remind us about Vietnam (the Kennedy/Johnson's fiasco) or maybe the Trojan War. Katrina is a wannabe 9/11 for the liberals. Get over it.

Politicians often put their careers ahead of their families. To hold Palin to a higher standard is sexist. You guys still love Edwards, even after he was swinging around while his wife has cancer. Typical Democratic double standard. Frankly, if McCain can survive the convention without losing 5 points in the polls (as Obama did, a convention first!) it'll be a miracle, with all the fundamentalists coming out of the woodwork. Palin was just an attempt to quiet the faithful for a week.

Pooh Poohing world affairs and twisting personal issues: Obama-nation tactics 101!

  6. Because its time for "Change".Enough.Eight is Enough!

    Obama/Biden 2008!

    Ebony & Ivory Presidency!

  7. Hubris.  And the Republican party is being supplanted by the NeoCons and groups like the Council for National Policy, who chose Palin over McCain's choice of Lieberman.

  8. Karma.

  9. You do know that Rasmussen Polls show that Obama got no net bounce from his convention at all, right?  You do know that ZOGBY shows that McCain has taken the lead, right?

  10. for nearly 8 years the republicans have been handling things badly, but they mostly just got praise by the media.

The news media has finally got it head out of its butt and his reporting all the messed up things going on around the Republicans

  11. Things are going badly because GW Bush is a clown, the economy is in the tank, and we are stuck in an endless war most of us now think should never have been started.  McCain is doing well under the circumstances.

  12. Actually, I wouldn't be so sure about your judgement, because when it comes to elections, the Republicans have been known for the past 50 years to turn every negative about them into some sort of a positive at least until the election is over.  There is no way that Bush could have won the 2004 election.  I was so sure he was going to lose because of the Iraq war.  Still, he sailed to the White House.  Same with Bush Sr.  The republicans had 8 years in the WH.  Again, I thought Bush would lose, but he didn't.  Even with Quayle idiot on the ticket.  You watch, they will turn this entire Hurricane and pregnancy story to their advantage and go soaring in the polls even with a very low-profile convention.

  13. It's Karma for beiieving their own lies.

Plus, their followers are too lazy to kick bad thieving murdering leaders out of office.

They'd rather watch TV and complain on the computer amongst themselves about "hippies" "liberals" and "dems".

  14. God don't sleep, babe

  15. yeah, even with all of that your boy only got a 5 point bump.and the palins daughter isn't running.what you might think is a issue the public doesn't care.we want to drill for oil, take the country back from all of the socialists.insure our gun rights for our kids.and not take away peoples retirement in taxes.you have a big hill to climb.better get started.

  16. Pres. Bush has some of the lowest approval ratings ever. McCain is following 80% of his policies, so a lot of people aren't likely to side with McCain except the hard-core Republicans. This is why things aren't looking the greatest for the Republicans...

  17. things will no longer b good for the republicans there's worse to come.

  18. Actually I think they are going pretty better than planned.

In reality, everyone hates Bush, and therefore this was "due" to be a Democratic win even if you chose Oscar the Grouch to be the Democratic nominee, it was in the bag for the dems.

But the Obama express has been on a downward twirl, and the gallup polls have them neck and neck.  The dems should be up 15% especially with the DNC last week.

So the repubs are looking better than planned!

  19. Well, its more drama and distraction. They can recover after the Gustav storm and the truncated convention.  They better hope Palin's soap operat is done though.

  20. Try looking at the polls released today.  The so called bounce Obama got last week has all but disappeared.  So why do you think it is going so badly for the republicans????  I think the dems are scared to death that they are going to lose the white house again!

  21. Wow, let me see...

Iran, sure they just want cheap energy, the fact that oil grows in their back yard is irrelevant.  Ackmabinijab was just kidding about blowing Israel off the map.

Georgia... hmm. Rose Revolution...Libs own George Soros funded Georgia to secede from Russia and build their government.

Hurricane Katrina was a blueprint for how to do things right, Even NO's own REELECTED democrat mayor Nagel gets it now.

Palin would not have subjected her daughter to this embarrassment had it not been for all the Lib blogs suggesting Trigg was Bristol's.  Also, apparantly her pregnancy was common knowledge in Alaska.

Yea, it's funny how things work out.  Sources to come

  22. despite everything you said, the polls show that mccain and obama are pretty much dead even in terms of support right now..so i dont understand your question...

  23. Things have been going badly for republicans for many reasons:  First of all, our president is a liberal spender.  Secondly, the war is unpopular.  Thirdly, the republicans in congress have not stood strongly together on conservative values and policies, and now they've lost power.  They weren't strong enough on immigration, social security, energy production, and now they're at a strong disadvantage in this presidential race.  So why is McCain matching Obama in the polls despite the media love-fest?  Well, as poorly as the republicans in congress did, they're no match for the incredibly lousy democrats with their approval ratings in the TEENS!!!!  That's even considerably worse than the president's low ratings!  Secondly, Obama's a divisive nominee!  He's partly of the demographic which Hispanics don't exactly go for.  I know, because I work with many of them and they tell me.  He also has some very questionable associations, such as Bill Ayers (non-repentant former terrorist), Rev. Wright (racist, bitter, bigoted, ego-maniac).  You may find this hard to believe, but many Americans take issue with them!  Also, his wife's hard-to-come-by pride in America, and Obama's lack of Loyalty as spoken in his appearance in Germany.  With all these problems, it's no wonder McCain's doing well, and likely on an upswing with two months to go before election time.  Conservatives seem to be fired up about Palin as his running-mate.  Obama supporters should be slightly concerned in my opinion.

  24. Despite all you say,Obama is not that far ahead.  Hahahahahahahahahaha!  You got punked.

  25. Even with all that and the liberal media helping Obama, Obama cannot gain a substantial lead, even after the convention his bounce was below average and already has evaporated. Obama is so screwed.
