  1. The admiration only comes from the likability of that which we don't understand.  If we find that which we don't understand to be unlikable then there is an extreme disgust instead of admiration.

  2. In admiration we lose our will to understand, to question.

Much like a deer caught in the headlights, we become the slaves of our own awe. A brain f**t is induced and we become vegetables, forever still, coming to fruitation to only sit and rot.

  3. Because it intrigues and throw a bit of mystery that stays into your mind, sticking that wondering thought or question stirring up inside you. It just seem unforgettable.

  4. Because we humans are the height of intelligence (or at least we're supposed to be ) :) so when we don't understand something we admire it because we realise that there are some things that are beyond our understanding...so I guess the next best thing to understanding something is admiring it!!

  6. To cover up nonunderstanding.

  7. Because they are believed to stand above human reality. Humans tend to put everything they don't understand, or can't explain on a higher level, nearly unreachable for humans. Like God, or even aliens; both are not fully understood, and are believed to stand ''above'' humans, and are therefore admired.

  8. We, people, tend to admire that

what confuses us, or can't be

    explained.

We have like to poke at, unravel

the unknown, try to explain it.

  9. I think they are more often feared than admired, but that's beside the point, I suppose.

This admiration is probably a mix of superstition and curiosity.

  10. The mystique I guess!

  11. we admire them because we think they are perfect. when we understand what they/it is all about they cease to be admired.-blurey

  13. I think lots of times when we see something we don't understand  in others, we do admire that because we cannot wrap our head around how anyone can live and cope with it.  We know that they must have a special strength that allows them to push through in times of need and heartache.

  14. Just to hide your ignorance.

  15. People tend to admire things they don't understand out of a misguided idea that something impenetrable must be profound. Sometimes this is true, a lot of the time not.

And it isn't always the case. A lot of people don't understand mathematics, and they don't admire it.

  16. because it's a mystery which makes us curious and curiousity always keeps us hanging on.

  17. Curiosity is what keeps us humans interested in things. The less we understand the more we seem to admire and want it. It's simply for the fact that it is a huge illusion. We know not of the pain and suffering of it, and many times seem to think that there is none. As humans, we always seem to think that the grass is greener on the other side, that is until we get there....
