Why are torrents downloading fast on OSX but slow on Vista?

I'm using uTorrent on vista and Transmission on Leopard. Transmission always seems to download much faster, while uTorrent just seems to trickle. Could it be due to the limit of concurrent connections in Vista? Thanks.

Have you checked your firewall and router. Make sure you have the correct ports forwarded and the firewall set to allow file sharing

And yes, there is a concurrent limit. If the Mac has grabbed the bandwidth, the other computer will just have to wait. A typical home router will not control traffic to make sure 2 machines each get a fair share

Well, uTorrent has such a ridiculous amount of options that it's very possible to have set something wrong.
