  1. Why is anything important?  Valleys, plateaux, deltas, and all that are not really "important", in one sense, they just are, and knowing about the stuff around us is useful, or at least interesting. (at least I think so).  

    I mean, in one way of thinking, there is really not much of anything that is important.  But for me, thinking along those lines leads to a deep dark hole of depression and despair, and since I find it unpleasant living like that, I tend to just enjoy what is and the surprise that comes when some seemingly useless information becomes useful.

    I don't find living in ignorance is a very valuable way to be.  The more you know, the better your decisions will be.  Sometimes that info that you learn along the way never comes into play.  Sometimes it does.  But you cannot tell in advance what you need to know.

    You find your own reason for living.  I found mine.
