Why are we allowed to eat chicken,Mutton,Lamb,beef etc? But not pork/ham?

Allah has commanded in Quran not to eat the following:

1. Any product made from the meat of pig.

2. consuming alocholoic products  

3. meat of dead animals where dead by natural causes or killed by

    other animals  

4. meat of beasts and birds that eat other animals like lion, bear,

    tiger, cheeta, hienese, vultures and all scavanger animals.

Muslims are allowed to consume only meat of birds and animals that

eat vegetables and not other animals. Most fish in oceans and rivers are allowed to eat.

The products that Allah prohibited us from eating are bad for our health and this is the reason of prohibition.

I read a research paper of Dr. Ahmad Skr written in late sixties. I read it in 1971. He did research on fat of  cat, dog, pig, lamb and cow.

He found that our bodies can disintegrate fats of lamb, cow, chicken and fish. Out body keeps the fat that is good for us and rejects that is bad for us which comes out of our body through stool.  

He also found that our body can not disintegrate the fat of pig, dog, cat (animals that other animals)  and all good and bad fat stays in our body. It is harmful for us and that is the reason Allah has prohibited to eat products of meat from pig, dog, cat, vulture birds, and beast animals that eat other vegeterian animals.

Because meat was harder to preserve back during the time of Mohamed.  And there was less knowledge about the temperature that you have to cook pork at to keep you from getting ill.  It's still a tradition in some middle eastern religions.

simply: Ä°n surat Al-Baraqah is stablished that pork meat is forbbiden as a meal for muslims. Allah forbid it to us and that is it. Ä° still dont understand why we allways try to explain something that is mandatory of Allah. Do not we trust Him. Ä°f so we should not create any kind of question about His orders.

Because pigs are seen as dirty animals and so the meat is also dirty while other animals are seen as clean. and if they are halal it is even better

It is just like jewish people dont eat pork either. and they eat kosher food.

Salam for you .Yes we muslims are allowed to eat chicken,lamb,beef etc because we need protein for our growth and endurance.Allah created animals for the benefit of humans such as its meat,milk

,hide ,for pets and for transportation But we are not allowed to eat pork/ham and other product made from pig.We are not allowed to breed it and trading it too. This probition is given by Allah as stated in the Qur'an surah 2 Al  (female cow)verse 168,173 ,surah  3 Ali Imran  verse 130,131 and also surah 4 An Nisaa(woman) verse 6 and surah 5 Al Maidah(meals) verse 3,90,91 and surah 6 Al Anam (animal) verse 118,119...See also surah 16 An Nahl (bee) verse 115.This prohibition is a challenge for humans why? Until now there is a research that pig is a dirty animal which has bad fat and it has ribbon worms which will hurt/harm humans who eat its meat.

There is no scientific or Any Other reason as to why pig is haraam. Pig is haraam because Allah has said so, end of story !!!

beside all this dirty and filthy thing what i heard is that  pig carry too many nasty parasites in its meat, that if not  cooked very well are potentially dangerous to consume

spiritually i have heard that pig is a very horney  animal and doesnt have any shame (i dont know if other animal does) but it has number of mates at same time and things like this so if one eats its meat that will promote   that  kind of sexual behaviour i them and ashamelessness.

now science tells us that pigs meat is very high in  fats than other  animals and so also ccauses more harm then any other meat

who said we can't eat pork and ham?!  In the bible God told Peter to eat "unclean food" in the old testament, I think like Deutoronomy or something it says all the foods and stuff that are unclean
