  1. it is- you should go for the microsoft zune or creative zen instead.. i have a zune and its great..screen is bigger, theres radio and you can chage background pictures..even more benefits..

  2. Because they can, the feel that they need to charge for updates. Some other companies do this and there is nothing consumers can do. Apple probably justify this by saying it needs to pay programmers for the updates they make. It sucks as a company have to provide a fully working product. But as software goes there are some problems and can have a bit of give way compared to a TV or game console.

Personally I think I-POD's are overrated there are cheaper and more reliable models on the market which do not need the ever fussy i-tunes to work properly.

  3. I personally haven't had any problems with either of the two iPods I have owned. I now have an iPod Touch which has been working great and, although I think they should give away software for free, you probably wouldn't think twice about buying software with additional features for your computer. You don't have to pay for the minor updates that just fix bug issues, etc.

I always thought iPods were over rated but then once I got one I think they are much better than other MP3 players out there (I have owned others so I am not just a follower of iPod)

  4. Updates for itunes are free, aren't they?

Also, I think the ipod is a bit of a bargain compared to other mp3 players. Because Apple sell so many, they can afford to have a lower retail price than their competitors.

  5. I have no idea what you are talking about. The only software you need to get the iPod to work is iTunes which is free.
