Why are we being berated on fuel consumption whilst theUK price of gas is inflated by profiting from hoarding?

  1. Maybe I am missing the point, but my understanding is the Exchequer takes a percentage of the duty on fuel.  So everytime the price of a barrel of oil rises, the chancellor puts more money in his pocket.

           Should this not be a certain amount on a gallon/litre of fuel?  That seems more fair....but then again, when has the chancellor been fair?

       And who was the (lady) Prime Minister who sold our rights to British oil/petrol to private enterprise, instead of nationalising it so that the whole country would benefit?

          If I sound bitter, I am sorry, but that's how I feel .......


  2. I have known about these sort of practises for years now,Blame thatcher she sold Britain down the river.With her privatisation policies.
