Why are we being forced to change over to Yahoo Music?

I would prefer to keep MusicMatch but it appears that I may have signed away my future updates. I am also worried that Yahoo now has my credit card information. Does anyone know if the MusicMatch program will continue to be supported?

  1. Musicmatch will be discontinued and no longer supported in the near future. Your Plus features in Musicmatch will remain active even after you Migrate to Yahoo! Music.

You can read Yahoo! privacy policy if you are concerned with Yahoo! having your credit card information. They would not obtain your info unless you agreed to give them it.

  2. Yes, unfortunately MM will no longer be supported in the near future and I can say that after a full day of frustration in trying to migrate my MM features/music to Yahoo that I am migrating to iPod for good.  I am utterly unimpressed with Yahoo and the inability to complete my migration and the lack of "customer care" exhibited by Yahoo.  What a terrible waste of such a high quality product/service as MusicMatch.

  3. I don't know if they will continue to support MusicMatch, but I can tell you Yahoo Music is horrible.....be forewarned, I signed up for  and the trial period ended today, I cancelled today, but they already charged me for a year.....$71.88; I called to complain and get a refund since I cancelled on the last day, and they wouldn't do it......I do NOT recommend giving yahoo your credit card information..... I personally will NOT get involved with any of Yahoo's premium services again.
