  1. Canadians don't really give a what what about the queen.

  2. Well im Scottish so wouldnt know from a Canadian point of view. I dont think Canadians really think much at all about the Queen. She doesnt really have any powers really, but she used to.

The British Empire is long gone....

The time has come to end the British Union.

  3. didn't you know Canada is part of the commonwealth ?

  4. Loyalty means faithful, a person who will obey and stay true to a person

I dunno why because im not Canadian, but I can say that its likely she's symbol of gratitude and wholesomeness

    A great figure in society.

    = )

  5. I don't think they are particularly loyal, probably just waiting for her to kick the bucket and then be done with the lot of them!

  6. I'm Canadian and she's not important to me.I think all ties should be cut.The whole idea of a monarchy in any country in this day and age is absurd.Crowns and carriages and kings and queens are just ridiculous in my opinion.

  7. because her majesty has been loyal to canada.

would you prefer things like watergate, guantanamo bay and dear ol' monica?

  8. I'm American and even more removed than the Scot, but I think that Canadians are Brits only through colonization.  Had we maintained ties with the Brits after the Revolution, then we would have the Queen's portrait on our coins as well.  I think it's just a matter of time when the Canadians decide to do their own thing totally.  I also think that Quebec could stand a chance at becoming an independent, French-speaking country as they've wanted for a long time.

Revised 7:50 am EST,USA -  Loyalty is being faithful to people (queens included), governmental systems, causes, staying healthy, traditions, your country, etc..

  9. I am loyal to my friends and family. I am a loyal employee and do my best each day at work. I am not loyal to some rich old biddie in England who wears a crown on her head and likes to be called "your majesty". Her horse is more majestic. It's about time we woke up and became a Republic and spent the money we would have on the Governor General on social programs and housing.
