Why are we imposing sanctions and warnings over Russia?

We know it is useless. it has no impact on russia. Russia cares the least for our sanctions. It does not even care for UN.

We have entered into iraq, afghanistan. We have entered into bosnia. we played all the tricks in breaking former USSR.

why are we making enemies with the mighty Russia?

Oil.

There is a oil pipeline that feeds Europe that runs through that land, That's why McCain is so hot for war over there.

1) War = high oil prices which profit Exxon here in America.

2) We don't have to fight the war, the Georgians will do it for us so Exxon wins twice,

3) If that pipeline "Accidentally" gets blown up oil prices skyrocket and Exxon profits here in America.

So McCain wants war for Exxon's Profits, Profits and Profits.

First of all, I wouldn't call Russia "mighty".  They were more powerful under the USSR, but now they're pretty pathetic.

Secondly, we are in a world power conflict over oil and access to oil.  Georgia maintains a strategic hold on one of the world's most critical pipelines.  If they ally with NATO and the WTO, the US will have greater control over that critical pipeline, and Russia will have none.

Because bush doesn't want to give up his cozy little cot in the White House, so he's trying his best to stir up problems with Russia, so he can say that America is in yet another disaster and he will try to invoke his new law that gives him power to stay in office during a national emergency.

because americans are conceited and think that they are so much better and "mightier" than everyone else. sure, they trash talk russia for now but let's just wait until we get hit with a missle or something because of that. i really wish that the US would mind their own business already, we've made a lot of enemies that way. and besides, the attacks in georgia were not unprovoked, it was a retalliation for a georgian attack. when terrorists struck the twin towers, we retalliated. it's so hypocritical. but as some others mentioned on here, yes it has a lot to do with oil. that's partially why we're in iraq. oil controls a lot. but it's funny when you think that while we're paying higher and higher prices at the pump, the oil companies are having record profits. conspiracy?

Russia, China and America are the leaders of the world economy, without one they will all fail, so Americans (by this I mean Americans currently in power) are complete idiots, but it begs the question. Is America a nation in constant conflict? Like they need constant entertainment........ or........ they're just as scared of peace as they much as they are of war, a powerful nation that in a constant flux is very dangerous. Anyway that just what I think.
