Why are we in the war right now and what is it going to solve?

I remember when we were younger and our teachers told us not to fight because voilence isn't going to solve anything but why are we in the war right now and what is it going to solve and what kinds of things is it going to show to our younger generation (thats probably why gang violence is still going on because we are basically giving them the ok to fight for their rights which makes no sense to me personally so someone please help and explain this to me)

It's going to help solve the problem of America having way too much money to spend on trivial things like health care, and repairing our inner cities.  Also it will help answer the very worrying issue of whether or not there will be any social security left for the baby boomers when they all retire - there won't be.  Now we don't have to worry about it - we already know.

i love to travel and in my walks the people of the world are real friendly (cept for a few thieving cab drivers and pickpockets).

....it really is a beautiful world out there.......

to give money to fund those wars is a shame since theres a lot of hungry ppl out there even at home...
