If we are not gonna be here on earth forever... like what Rick Warren said, it's just a "temporary assignment" Why do we act so worldly... like, living on earth focusing on how can we PLEASE OTHERS, BECOME FAMOUS, LIVE RICH, ENTER HIGH RENOWNED SCHOOLS, WORK TOO MUCH, AND SO ON.... Why can't we just help other people, understand each other, and HELP OTHERS BECOME CLOSER TO GOD and NOT BECOME "TOO ATTACHED" with this FLEETING things and soon will pass...?? why!?!?!? Can we bring our wealth when we die? Of course not... Then why are we like this? IS THIS LIFE MORE IMPORTANT THAN ETERNAL LIFE THESE TIMES?

People believe different things, and so I think you're a fool for inviting the word God, into your Question, in my opinion, i'm not saying you are a fool for a fact but in my opinion when you said "...become closer to GOD..." I thought of your answer from GOOD POINT into Crazy Religous Freak.

Sorry, but again Religion is an opinion not necissarily a fact no matter how much you believe if you look at it logically then you see why it's so hard for some to accept it who don't believe. In other words, "DON'T WASTE YOUR BREATH AND I WON'T WASTE YOUR TIME."

But yeah I guess your kind of "right" - I use many words like right wrong and noble and evil loosely since I think they're opinions as well- as far as why we work so hard and such and don't help each other as much as we should.

Well the answer is plain as day if you don't overlook it- IT GIVES US SOMETHING TO DO!

If you look at society and understand how it works you understand why people strive for better jobs and their importance. Without the person farming, then there is no food. If you look at it the farmer IS HELPING OTHERS, as is the store who distributes the food to the consumers which owes thanks to the "Big Wig" who owns the store *WalMart- Sam Walton w/e"

If you look deeply into your question I see this, in my opinion which is a dead-end on this world "Why do we do anything since we're just going to die" THIS IS A TERRIBLE WAY TO THINK in my opinion for if you think like this you really say "Why don't I just kill myself now? Why do I eat if it's just to live another day? Why get a house when I will eventually die? Why try to have a family when they and I will eventually die? WHY DO ANYTHING!?

So you see the uselessness of your question? It's a dead-end in this world.

TREAT THIS WORLD(THE PHYSICAL WORLD) AS GREATLY AS THE ETERNAL WORLD, for this too is God's Creation- I'm Agnostic so I just threw in the God part for your sake :)

Anyway I could delve much deeper into this subject, e-mail me if you want I'd like to talk more about it, and I think I'd be able to grasp your side more if you talked about it more than the YA limit can.

Well some people just believe in different things, but personally i believe Jesus will return to earth in the near future given current biblical prophecies being fulfilled. Enjoy life and remember people are ignorant and never forget there is true meaning behind good vs. evil

I dont believe in eternal life, so yes, temporal life is more important.
