Why are we putting all our liquids in a zip-loc bag in order to fly on the plane?

How does the terrorists use these liquids?

This rule isn't used if you fly from Pakistan, I was recently in Pakistan and I brought a huge bottle of water on the airplane with me and no one said a word! I guess terrorists can use these liquids to make bombs or something! Better to be safe than sorry!

liquid explosive, but the truth is if someone wants to hijack a plane security cant do anything, the only chance is the people on the plane

well the theory is that they mask explosives as other liquids. therefore there is a limit.  Here's where it gets stupid, If i want to blow up a plane I am allowed to bring 3oz in each bottle, I was able to fit 8 of those bottles into my 1 quart bag.  that's 24oz of explosives that could still be brought on the plane, you don't think damage can be done with that?  It's kind of stupid.

To the person who said I'd be in jail...HAHAHA! they didn't even look at them closely. they held up the bag and put it through the scanner, neither of which could tell if it was explosives or not.  It's a joke of a policy.  It's just to look like their doing something without actually doing it.  Oh and even this procedure couldn't prevent 9/11 they didn't blow up a plane, they flew it into buildings, the plane WAS the bomb.

In 2006, a terrorist plot was discovered and stopped at Heathrow Airport in London - terrorists planned to use liquid explosives (concealed in water bottles) on trans-atlantic flights, specifically targeting American Airlines, United Airlines, and Air Canada. The point of putting our liquids into a Ziploc is to limit the amount of liquid any one passenger can have - not to inspect the liquids themselves.

TSA assumes a bomb can be made from a combination of liquids. having them view the liquids shows what is in liquid in  the bags, an easier inspection of what you have

they are put in plastic bags so they can be inspected easily,not having to rummage through luggage etc,And for the person who feels its stupid because she fit 24 ounces in a quart baggie,Im sure damage could be done with that,im also sure that had it been explosives,youd be in jail.why so quick to mock policy??All that is intended is preventing another 911,And I can think of 3000 very good reasons to do that.
