  1. i have wondered the same thing.  i think people are p*&sies.  I once had an altercation.... when i got face to face i asked when he was gonna spit in my face.  he looked confused.  i told him that acting that way in his car is no different than spitting in my face.  I asked if he wanted to go outside and he could make his best attempt to spit in my face.  he declined!

  2. Because it's easy to get angry at the faceless metal box of the car, rather than trying to envision and empathize with the person inside.

  3. Because we assume we'll never have to see them again.

  4. It's less confrontational isn't it? You're less likely to be shown up if you shouting at someone in a car than if you went up to them and started to shove them around.

Same reason people are so rude online, much ruder than they would be in real life, there's no actual "person" to feel threatened by.

    Hope that helps.

  5. psychological speaking, if we don't see the people's face, we act most of time more aggressively.

that's why soldier shoots from a long range, rarely short range, because they will be psychologically shocked.

  6. cuz we can do anything in cars Road rage as not in person n we can b tougher person in cars

  7. "It's easy to be brave from a safe distance."

  8. I guess it's because:

    a) They're inside the car, so they can't get out and retaliate violently - thus posing as less of a threat.

    b) You can't see them as clearly, so you don't hesitate to be rude to them, as you can't see who they are or their facial expression.

    c) You're also assuming they can't see YOU very clearly either, which makes you feel safer. I suppose.

    d) You know you can drive away and never see them again. Face-to-face is a different matter entirely.
