Question:

Why are we so hypocritical?

So, there are still a lot of people who are convinced Obama's a Muslim, though he has continued to state that he is in fact a Christian. They, as well as the oh so respectable Fox News, keep referring to him as 'Barack Hussein Obama' to try to scare others.

But, this really isn't about Obama; rather, it's about the utter hypocrisy of this country as a whole. Take a look at the bigger picture: Whatever happened to the 'freedoms' we claim make our country so great? Don't we claim that there's the freedom to practice any religion we want? Therefore, being a Muslim, Hindu, or any other non Christian faith shouldn't be a problem, right? But of course, that's only in theory/ an idealistic notion. 9/11 should not be an excuse to justify this 'fear' and hatred of another faith (for painfully obvious reasons), so tell me: what is so wrong with being of a faith other than Christianity in this country? Are we really so contradictory with preaching the 'freedom of religion' too?

  2. All religions have been taught that anyone not of their own religion is a product of the "devil".

And as such, they are deserving of the same kind of treatment as the devil deserves.

Which is one the main reasons that I was turned off by religion.
