Why are we so tired and hungry after swimming?

  3. It is all the energy we lose. Researchers aren't sure why this occurs, they think it happens because the cooler temperature

    of the water causes your body to lose heat and the blood vessels in your skin to constrict. This prevents the release of certain hormones.

  6. You are horizontal the entire practice and once you stand up striaght you feel a bit dizzy and light headed and shaky. On top of that you finished a workout. Swimming uses about every part of your body, so your extra hungry by the end. also, the hungrier you are, the harder you tried swimming! Try and eat a bit more before practice! Bananas the night before keeps cramps away!!

  8. After any workout, your body is exhausted, especially after a swim practice. Your arms may feel sore due to lactic acid build up in your body, and if you cheated on your warm down the acid may still be in your muscles. Your body has used up quite a bit of energy and it wants to refill that energy supply by telling you to eat. However choose healthy foods, such as vegetables and fruits and protein packed foods and shakes (no smoothie king for  you) If your tired and hungry after swimming you are working out, and creating a healthier you!!!! Congrats!!!
