I mean, hello we all know global warming is happening, and we still use those crappy light bulbs, personal cars, and water our grass, so why isn't the gov't focusing on domestic issues to try and get us away from the selfish lifestyles we currently the plague the atmosphere with instead of Iraq? sure we don't want terrorists blowing us up, but in the end does it really matter if we are all going to equally fry to death?

  1. I agree with you. we should surrender in Iraq, let the fundamentalists take over the middle east, most of europe, nuke Israel, and cut off our oil supply, We will elect hillary because she has all the answers. with a stroke of a pen she will have all the cars, planes, trucks, and trains running on french fry grease. the world will live in peace and harmony.

  2. The middle east is hotter than it is here. So as soon as they die out we'll tackle the global warming issue.

  3. Prove to me that we're going to fry to death -- I was under the impression that the rhetoric was that we would all drown as the polar ice melts.  Furthermore, prove to me that we aren't spending billions already on various technological advances, certainly billions more than we are in Iraq.  Finally, demonstrate conclusively that the government will be able to make these advances faster and better than private companies.

  4. Very good question. Well, I hate to say this, but I do not want to lose my car.  That being said, I think the war in itself is a failure and we need to get out of it as soon as we possibly can. Also, I think we as Americans can all do things to better the environment. You are most likely correct about our light bulbs and such. Once again, good question....certianly worth talking about.

  5. It is the government's job to spend money on war.

It is the private sector to spend money on technology.

Why should I be made to spend $5 on a light bulb instead of the 39 cents I do now. There are 6 billion people on this planet, why do 300 million have to solve the entire world's ecological problem? I guess California sees the light bulb issue as important. Are they made there? I liked my big and safe 1976 Cadillac a lot better than the tin car PT Cruiser I drive now. Yes the Caddy get 14 mph and the Chrysler gets 22, but if I was ever in an accident, I would prefer the 5000 pounds of Cadillac to the 1500 pounds of PT Cruiser. Man has been around a long time. Every generation has its doom and nay sayers. The world goes on and so do I.

  6. Because we have a West Texas prarie monkey in the Whitehouse.
