Not true! Have you never seen a dog roll over in wet leaves or manure to disguise their smell (a friend who purchased goat manure had to keep his dog outside for quite a while).

well many humans do not use deodorant either..in many foreign countries such rituals are not done ..just like not shaving the armpits, that sort of thing.....

Probably we are the only ones that feel we need it.....although you could make some argument for your dog rolling on a dead bird....

Humans and chimps are the only animals that are "self"aware.

And chimps are hardly concerned with hygiene. Most all species use pheromones in their musk to attract mates.
