We're told to put cardboard and garden matter in our green bins, and another leaflet says you can put eggshells, teabags and peelings in then we're told that you can't put these things in. i'm getting very confused.

  1. Get a compost bin , all the green waste mentioned can go in and you will get first class fertiliser for your plants.

Rules of  man are inconsistent, but rules of nature aren't !

  2. Ring your local council and ask them to post you  their leaflets/stickers that list what can and can not be placed in the recycling bin. Stick  these inside your bin lid, then if there are any disputes when they come to collect the bins you can point to the appropriate item on the leaflet or sticker.

  3. First where do you live?

Second...in NJ cardboard is to be seperate from all else but paper.....Garden matter should be composted (teabags, egg shells, peelings etc) That's the best possible reuse for that.

If you are confused get it in writing from your township or County Health Department what needs to be done, and if you get no reply call the Dept of Environmental Protection. Find out what the laws are and then you are better informed.

    Hope this helps.

  4. Keep the confusion straight, its not you its the idiots who are telling you what to do that are confused.
