  1. Where do you want water to be wasted?

  2. Because people are ignorant as to the actual "value" of potable water...

  3. for useless purposes............v must not waste water....ppl must realise that it is a v.v.v important resource..without water we cant live...

    so ppl stop wasting water

  4. It just don't hurt bad enough to stop yet.

As long as we can turn on the tap and water comes out,

    we're not worried.

Same reason we waste any resource.

  5. Water is a common chemical substance that is essential to all known forms of life.About 1,460 teratonnes (Tt) of water covers 71% of the Earth's surface, mostly in oceans and other large water bodies, with 1.6% of water below ground in aquifers and 0.001% in the air as vapor, clouds (formed of solid and liquid water particles suspended in air), and precipitation.

Water conservation refers to reducing use of fresh water, through technological or social methods. The goals of water conservation efforts include:

Sustainability - To ensure availability for future generations, the withdrawal of fresh water from an ecosystem should not exceed its natural replacement rate.

Energy conservation - Water pumping, delivery, and wastewater treatment facilities consume a significant amount of energy. In some regions of the world over 15% of total electricity consumption is devoted to water management.

Habitat conservation - Minimizing human water use helps to preserve fresh water habitats for local wildlife and migrating waterfowl, as well as reducing the need to build new dams and other water diversion infrastructure.

  6. I dont know why some people waste water and have fun

    It's mostly carelessness

  7. Water is the essence of life, like air and fire. When water is consumed, it will return as waste, just like air. This is a natural phenomena.

  8. I have asked many people that same exact question. only about 1/100 of all of the water on earth is drinkable. SAVE IT PEOPLE!

  9. Next to Air Water is precious for all of us .The Earth is the only known planet where water exist.Roughly two third of of our earth consist of water but a very little amount of potable water(water fit for drinking purpose) is available.Of course recycling of water is a natural process which always going on but  ground water which are generally used for drinking purpose are not getting recharged properly which may cause shortage of fresh water.Due to lack of awareness we waste valuable water.

  10. Inadequate investment in water use technologies such as irrigation and water purification facilities. This is particularly the case in developing countries due to high poverty level. For example in Malawi we have plenty of water underground, in rivers and lakes but very little is used for irrigation because majority of small scale farmers cannot afford the cost of pumping water for irrigation purposes.

  11. Water content in the earth is around 2/3 of its volume. Around 70% of human being contains water. The water is very essential for our living. In Chennai always shoratge of water. They have found different methods to conserve rain water. Legislation has come to implement rain harvesting. The others should take note of it and implement in conserving water.

  12. Because we can't take it to another planet.

If we are going to waste it, anywhere, it will have to be here.

  13. um, because there's lots of it

  14. I live in a State that is surrounded by the largest freshwater lakes in the U.S. and I ask myself that all the time. I also ask myself why does Michigan take trash from other countries and bury it here? It does not make sense to bury trash near the largest fresh water source. It makes me angry that they continue to do it. Poison from the garbage could leak into our precious water supplies. I guess in this area, Money is more important that fresh water. Very sad.

  15. Water is never really wasted.  We just need to learn how to make dirty water clean.  If we can take ocean water and make it drinkable and be willing to share it with dry climates, we would never have to worry about waste water again.  It can always be recycled.

  16. Water is never wasted, just altered . The earth recycles water that is not recycled in polution  control plants/ waste water plants.  All the water on earth has been recycled many times.  No need to dwell on that fact.

The water that we do waste is treated water or, for some parts of the world, drinkable water. Then you must  consider how it is wasted. What is your definition of " wasted"  water as compared to"used"  water. Used water in washing your face by you  is used water. To someone that doesn't  wash his face , he would consider it wasted water.

Wasted means to disregard it's value. Everyone puts a value on everything that affects them.  Keep this line of thought going.

  17. Because we are not literate enough to realise the folies of our action today, but our children will suffer for them 2maro.

  18. Because the human population is increasing day-to-day life and water  is very much sufficient to everybody on this earth, to ensure a daily ammendments
