Why are we watching the usa play basketball when our women's hockey team is playing?

as a hockey fan, I can tell you that I have never watched a women's hockey game.  I dont know if Ive ever seen it televised more than once.

Agreed, entirely.

Two channels supposedly doing Olympics coverage, and two basketball games going on? (But luckily there was Letterman on 10). It's not good coverage. It is the Basketball and Volleyball games, with little of anything else.

I was set for the gripping conclusion. I was waiting for South Africa (they're so cute!) to equalize.

I'm curious about the same thing, sure they have a lot of sports they need to cover, but shouldn't a game in which Australia are playing have precedence over a game involving two other random countries?
