Why are we wrecking up our own country?

We've been doing it for the past few decades by voting in useless people as our leaders. Who votes for these people?

  1. Doesn't matter. They're trying to go for One World Government, and have been succeeding very well. Yes, I know how THAT sounds. Take it, or leave it. 'They' have been at it for 60 years, and are approaching their goal. See the cameras? See how they have implemented, watching over us for our own good?

I do love my country, and all the people of the world. Is the above a bunch of propaganda? I'm still sorting though this. Trying to sort the facts, and what could be propaganda. I suggest you use your own mind, use deductive reasoning, and come to an informed conclusion.

If this is true, what can we do about it? Inform people, so that they can use their judgement, and perhaps if it is real, stop it.

  2. Who votes for these IDIOTS? Not me.

And why not? Because I know that for every one of me that would not vote for these idiots, there are at least two who will. Which then kind of makes voting a pointless experience.

  3. It's because Federalism is becoming suddenly popular. Nobody is really thinking through their votes. Most idiotic voters don't even know who their own governor is.

We're slowly becoming what Great Britain used to be. (And may still be).

  4. Well there isn't a lot of choice is there? As stated you vote for a local MP, these are then counted and the party with the most voted for MPs is voted into government. As the main three parties have such a stranglehold it is nigh on impossible to get rid of them in favour of a different party that may be better for the country.

Bear in mind that once a party is elected to power it rarely sticks to it's manifesto, it also introduces legislation not referred to in it's manifesto. The people who voted for them have usually done so in the belief that they will follow the wishes of the electorate, in fact this rarely if ever happens.

It is not the voters who are wrecking the country by choosing which party governs them, it is successive governments who have let the people down by not doing what they said they would and more often, doing things they said they wouldn't.

There is but one solution to breaking this political stranglehold and that is for the majority of voters to vote for an Independent candidate at the next election. Now that would really create a political shift and who knows, we may see a return to democracy.

  5. "The Government are the People and the People are the Government"

  6. I do not know - it makes very little sense strangling our own economy.

  7. You never vote for the prime minister just your local MP but after that you have little impact.  the party that wins the most seats then decides who becomes the prime minister.

that said even the prime minister is NOT in control of the country they just advise the people who really do - the civil servants and they are not elected they apply for the job and get appointed by themselves.

  8. b/c idiots come from different countries and s***w everything up. I'm pretty sure in the future I'm going to get out of the US b/c this place is so screwed up.

  9. I dont know! last time i did, i voted for Gary Coleman!

    Bananas

  10. Rest assured. Anyone you vote in will dance the same dance, talk the same talk that they've been doing since George Washington.

  11. Everyone does. Because they think that labour/the tories will be better than the tories/labour - and forget just how bad labour/the tories were last time.

  12. There was never a better alternative and the first few years with Blair were good.

    Nobody voted for Brown.

  13. People do.

  14. BECAUSE WE CHOOSIN THE WRONG PEOPLE TO LEAD US
