Why are white women viewed as being much more beautiful than Black women?

you see more barbies who are white, more heros who are white, more commercials with white women, and more media coverage over the standards of being a white woman!

On the continent of Africa you won't find a lot of white models,

In Latin America you find that  the cinnamon look sells.  The  founding ethnicity of a nation will always set the beauty standard.

This is the western world it was created by Europe but built by mostly Europeans and Africans. Europeans in the last 600 years had explored the world and colonized at least a part in every region of this planet they brought their views and beliefs to these places because of white people being able to reach these places they were seen as something as an amazing group of people which in turn made them able to colonize and influence many parts of the world while some abused this to make the natives of those regions treat them special and see their race as superior.

Today European colonies are very little but their influence is still present probably taking a further 500 years before its gone in those regions but here in the western world they are the majority in every western world country meaning they are the majority in voting media and the workforce even though today they are not a force which is against all other races they still but not on purpose exercise their preferences on media and media being the major influence in todays era of what is beautiful it falls in favour to what white men find attractive but its never just only white women we see s being beautiful its just mostly is.

Also, white people generally think white people are the most beautiful for the same reason.  

Black people probably generally think black people are the most beautiful.  However, there are less of them.

I didn't think they were. I would have assumed that black men, at any rate, were more likely to view black women as beautiful.  I presume there are more white Barbies because there are more white girls.  And more commercials with white people in them because there are more white people to be appealed to.

This is a result of colonization and the eurocentric ideal of beauty.  This has lead to many very beautiful asian women resorting to plastic surgery on their eyes to make them appear more, "white".  This is a shame since all races are beautiful and should learn to see themselves as such.

I think there are beautiful women in all races! I am a white women, and I happen to think that all women are beautiful! I live in a predominantly black neighborhood and I see beautiful black women everyday! Don't sell yourself short! Beauty doesn't have a color, it has more of a presence

Just take a look at Halle Berry, she black and also beautiful. So your question is only what your eyes have seen, not what others have seen. Women in general are beautiful creatures from God, no matter the color of their skin. They all have red blood cells.

If America was mostly an all black society and black people controlled the media and all the messages we are all feed on a daily basis  they would send the message that black is the most beautiful and having a black  women should be all men's goal.

Well, caucasians are the majority.  So the majority of adversitising is aimed at caucasians.  More white people probably buy barbies so are they going to buy the white barbie or the black barbie?  The white superhero or the black one? Because for the past three thousand years, it was always the white people who were at the high point of society, with the money and power in the world. It wasn't until recently that the other cultures have come up to par. Don't worry, in due time all cultures will have equal ground once people realize that the white people aren't the only ones good looking anymore.

we are only 12 percent of this nation's population. people are generally most attracted to people of their own race. so if you live in the a country where only 12 percent of the population is black, blacks are just not going to be the standard of beauty.

Maybe if black people controlled the media, you'd see my blacks on tv. Then again, no I take that back. Cause alot of black people are agaisnt their own people. So even if blacks controlled the media, you'd still see a bunch of white and light-skinned or mixed black women on tv and rarely any dark ones. I mean just look at some of the black male singers and rapper's music videos. What kind of women do you see  majority of the time? Yet black female singers still put black men in their music videos as the leading man. Why? Makes no sense to me.
