  1. Because the stupid boys will buy it at that price. >:/

Seriously, I never understood why the h**l game consoles cost so much. They aren't collectibles, so it's wasted money once it's outdated. Right now, the highest offer I'm getting for my old PS2 is like 20$!

  2. coz psp is better.

  3. wiis are cheap compared to the other next gen consoles like the 360 or the ps3. The wii doesn't cost that much and the internet is free.

(The wii is the cheapest of all 3 consoles)

  4. Are you talking about the actual price of $249? Or are you talking about the jacked up prices people are selling them for?

I don't know what's happening in the rest of the country, but I keep hearing how hard the Wii and the Wii Fit are to get a hold of. We bought our Wii system early in 2007 at GameStop for $249 and we pre-ordered our Wii Fit for the $5 down payment at Game Stop and we picked it up the day it came out with no trouble. I thought the price was low in comparison to the other new game consoles and the prices of games and accessories are no more than any others. We have three people in our house, Male age 31, Female age 25 and Male age 5 and we can all find games to play. I think it was worth the money.

  5. They are cheat compared to PS2 and the X-Box 360. And they're very valuable! Fun for the whole family!

  6. I'm going to answer this question from another angle: Wiis are expensive relative to their US$249 list price because they're still hard to get, so sellers on eBay and such can get way more than that.  If you live near, or are planning to visit New York City any time soon, go to the Nintendo World store at 10 Rockefeller Plaza.  They usually have plenty, especially if you get there right when they open, behind the line of people who camped out to get a Wii Fit.

Oh, and you'll have to pay with a credit or debit card.  They don't take cash for Wiis.  They run credit card checks to make sure people aren't buying them up just to resell them.
