Although women can build up substantial strength, they tend to be physically weaker than a man of the same height and build. It's not a hard and fast rule but all things being equal, the one who hits harder, faster, and *sooner* is going to win. That's more likely to be the man, because men tend to be more aggressive than women, partly because of biology and partly due to encouragement. Women aren't encouraged to be aggressive, they're encouraged to nurture. Not to hit, but caress.
