Why are women so shocked when a man says he never wants kids?

Because they think it's a sin.

If you don't want kids, then you don't want kids. Not everyone was meant to be a parent.

Oh well, natural reaction, but the answer to this question is easy,.men who avoids having a family soon are actually men who are not over with their bachelorhood yet, intends to be committal, and of course not ready to be a father yet because of other reasons like financial, psychological and emotional...but mind you when they see the products of their own they become mush happier than expected...

Because it infers he insists on being financially irresponsible and unaccountable for developing what comes naturally between a man and a woman in love: a family.

and just do not like it.

Some might want to call it 'scary' even.

It would be a little like a woman who was to say to you, ''Okay, you don't want children, then you don't need you testicles or to be able to get an erection, so we'll do something for you and save you wasting time thinking about s*x''.

It is ok not to want kids just do not get married.   Married people  are supposed to procreate and produce children.   That is why we are created  to help  God and do His will.  It is not your choice or   a woman,s choice it is God's choice in a marriage.
