  1. There was a scientific study conduit investigating why people yawn in reaction to someone yawning in front of them there actual two reason

1( It is a mental response created when you see someone yawn on TV there is a hormone released which causes you to yawn

2( When someone yawns when they face to face to they emit a chemical in such fine spray that is impossible to see when it comes in touch with our skin it causes us yawn in response

  2. It means that you are tired, oxygen required!!!!!!

  3. It is a precautionary measure. It is pre-programmed into us. It is like how if someone else is sick then you automatically feel sick.

This stems fro mthe days when we were 'animals' and the group/tribe would share the same food, but if it poisoned one of us (causing them to vomit), then thre others are pre-programmed to vomit before they are poisoned too. Doesthat make sense?

So in terms of yawning, if the air quality is not so good and one person yawns to take adantage of what oxygen is available, then the rest of us will take our share too.

  4. i believe that a yawn is indicative of low brain oxygen.therefor the visual of someone yawning triggers the reflex in others as a kind of precautionary instinct. This is why a yawn from your tv or dog can make you yawn too.
