I mean, yes you have a great QB, and i wish you all the best with him and his selfish ways, but let's get real. He's not gonna be that huge of an impact on the Jets. if you haven't noticed, the Jets have horrible defense, and that's what's most important to a football team, professional or not. There's no I in team, and Jets, you'll realize this when your season hasn't improved that much. you were 4-12 last year, which is almost as bad as the dolphins season. One person isn't gonna make that much of a difference. You should focuse on getting defense better, because if there's no good defense, your not a good team. Anyone agree with me?

  1. The Jets have a better line than the Pack now that they got Faneca. Coles is the type of wideout Brett Favre likes to throw to and besides the Pats the rest of the schedule is pretty easy.

The Jets will have a winning season.

  2. Because Jets fans saw what Favre did for another team, last year, that wasn't realistically picked by anyone to finish better than maybe 6-10 before the season started.

Green Bay's defense didn't look that great on paper before the '07 season either, but they played better than expected.  Throw in Favre's outstanding play last season while leading a very young offense (sound familiar?) and Favre helped the Packers overachieve just last season.  I think Jets fans are hoping for a repeat performance by Favre in '08...........................and he's not Chad Pennigton or Kellen Clemens!

  3. He's a huge upgrade over Pennington and he gives the Jets greater intangibles.  The team now believes it has a chance to win every game, before it didn't so yeah they went from being an average team to a great team.  Take Tom Brady away from the Patriots and see how far New England gets.

  4. I think that they are more happy to have a player with a big name more than anything. I think they know he will not turn that team around. It's all about have a player on the team with a marketable name.

  5. Just cause

  6. i agree.

  7. Why rain on their parade? If they stink so bad, wouldn't any improvement be just that... an improvement. Shouldn't the fans be happy that someone is trying to help?

It looks like people are happy and that makes you unhappy.

  8. I'd say getting Favre nets them 5 more wins this season, which would make them 9-7. If they played in the NFC, maybe 6 more but the bottom line is, there are too many other GOOD (even GREAT) teams in the AFC for them to leapfrog and make the playoffs. In the end, that's what the Jets are looking for: being a playoff team and then piecing together a good postseason.

My only concern with NYJ are thier recievers. I can't name them any of them right now. Favre's favorite target might be rookie tight end Dustin Keller. That's a nice luxury but it won't beat New England, San Diego or Seattle this season. And if they're contending for a wildcard, you've gotta get past Cleveland or Pittsburgh and the AFC South. I say AFC South because Indy and Jacksonville are LEGIT and Tennessee and Houston aren't pushovers.

Defensively they'll be better with the addition of Vernon Gholston. They'll miss Jonathan Vilma badly though.

  9. theres no i in team or in packers but brett still was one of the best qbs of all time in GB so he can be one there too, so i no i dont agree with u, infact i think ur an absolute idiot, jets are almost as bad as the dolphins? 3 game difference, so the bucs are almost as good as the patriots, chicago is almost as good as the steelers, no their not, its not even close, 3 games can be a big difference

  10. Because he's not Chad Pennington.

  11. you're correct on the possibility on the defense, but take away Tom Brady, Payton Manning, Ben Roethlesberger (spelling, may be incorrect, sorry), then what would be the impact on those teams?
