Are you like the ones who are obsessed with death/war also?

I see nothing in the media but bad effects.

  1. Ice-huggers are truly bizarre.  I like glaciers as much as the next man but when it comes down to it, they are pretty darned cold.  We have been fortunate to live in times when these little buggers aren't too bad.  People that lived  several thousand years ago probably weren't hoping for continued ice.  They probably welcomed a warming climate just as I do albeit it took and takes several lifetimes to make an appreciable difference.  Warmth is good, cold is generally bad.  It is amazing what a bad word warming has become for some people.

  2. History shows clearly that a warming earth is a prosperous one. How this fact has so obviously been distorted borders insanity. Just as warmers will soon be trying to convince us that the next cooling trend is also caused by bad humans.

  3. Because bad news sells.

Although we all know that the warming periods are good for the planet, a scientist hoping for more grand money would be better off saying it's bad so he can get paid to do more study.

Just follow the money and you'll see why the AGW hoax is still alive even thought hardly anyone still believes in it.

  4. Because, if we do nothing, they will make us all poor.

It won't be a Hollywood movie style disaster. Gradually coastal areas will flood and agriculture will be damaged. But it will be very bad. Rich countries will cope, but it will take huge amounts of money. In poor countries many people will die of starvation, but not all of them.

Really good website for more information here:

  5. Because the long term prognosis, even the most charitable of such, aren't good: up to a ten degree temperature increase. That doesn't sound bad on the surface, but when you consider that animals and plants are quite sensitive to alterations in their habitat, many will die. And if animals and plants die, we die.

Smaller creatures, even coral reefs, have already begun to die out due to slight alterations in their environment (in the reefs' case, water Ph level is down)

  6. OH YEAH THE GOOD EFFECTS???

Places like Maine which have been under ice during the last ice age will be warmer and in 1000-2000 years with the increased pace at which fertile soil is generated will indeed be much more fertile.

I can't wait these 1000 years to have this positive effect.
