Why are you top contributors?

Question

I see some people have earned nearly a thousand points some weeks.Whats up in your lives that you spend so much time answering all these questions?It must be morning till night!Like they say whatever floats your boat.

I'm on holiday and don't properly start my gap year until October. So I have nothing to do except answer people's questions about applying to university and the like.

Perhaps they are able to work at home/run their own businesses and specialise in their subject.

Maybe some of them are in prison. I understand they have computers inside nowadays.

hiya, I'm in a wheelchair, and stuck to a oxygen machine 24/7.i get fed up watching t.v. i don't see anyone ,from day to day.so this is all i have got.its my life line.x

A top contributor is someone who is knowledgeable in a particular category.  You can concentrate on just one topic and answer questions, which is how I earned the title. I'm not sure how many points you must earn to get it.  It caught me by surprise one day, and I really didn't spend that much time doing it (at least I didn't think so).

I do have a life but my pasttime has me on the computer answering questions, which I thoroughly enjoy doing.  If you ask my husband how much time, he would say, without hesitation, LOTS.
