I recently bought a DYNEX 32 in. HD TV. It has a built-in HD tuner. I have Comcast Extended Basic Cable. So, for the first two months or so of use i received basic HD channels like CBS HD, Fox HD, ABC HD, etc. Within the last few days, I am not recieving these channels anymore. I called Comcast like 10 times and they swear they have nothing to do with it. Anyone know what i can do to get these channels back? Especially since i wanna watch the Celtics in the Finals in HD. :D

  1. I've had a similar problem with Comcast from time to time.  It's usually a cable outage that's the cause - it doesn't have anything to do with your cable box or your account.  I'd call them back again and ask about any reported outages in your area.  When it happens to me, it usually also corresponds to a loss of my internet signal (I get my internet through cable, too), so you might as if there are any internet outages reported, too.  Good luck.

  2. Comcast has nothing to do with it, it is the local tv station broadcast that you are receiving.  If you had a digital set top with HD tier service then you could blame comcast for your HD woes, but you are only receiving analog signal through basic cable, tvs with a digital tuner in them can pick up local hd digital signal through the digital tuner by entering the dash usually followed by a 1 or 2 on the remote.  Try running the auto channel scan on the tv, other than that the only only advice I can give you is to upgrade your cable service, you will get more HD channels that way anyhow.

  3. Dude get satellite it's 100%  digital all the time & you can also get high definition channels.
