I am 14, I've had puberty and everything. I weigh 38kg and I am 140cm tall. I've had discharge for more than 2 years, why aren't I getting my period? It should start by now. I feel kinda ashamed cos all my peers started their periods and I am the odd one out. My 12 year old cousin started her period. Is there something wrong with me?

  1. be happy you still didnt get it

  2. you're normal

if all of what you said is true, its just a matter of time.

take my advice, because i know what im talking about.

you are fine. Dont worry about it.

there is absolutely nothing wrong with you, stop stressing about it.

  3. Eveyone starts there period at diffrent times

no 2 persons has the same body..you should or

maybe seee a doctor if its really worrying you

  4. Everybody is different.  There is really no way to tell for sure when you'll get your first period.  And trust me, it's not anything that you need to "look forward to" anyway.  I never wanted to get mine and still hate it (I'm 26 now).  It's no fun.

Age has nothing to do with it.  My mom started when she was 16.  I started when I was 12 (almost 13).  My sister is 14 and still hasn't started, but her best friend started when she was 10.  I would guess that one of the reasons you haven't started yet is because you're quite petite.  Remember, the reason (for the body) to start having periods, is so that you have the ability to have a baby and the body wants to make sure that it can support a baby before it starts having periods.  (This isn't always the case, but just a general rule of thumb.)

Usually, once girls hit about 100 lbs (45 kg), then they can start expecting their periods.  If a girl is really petite, then they usually start their period later.

  5. nope, maybe your just a late bloomer my mum had hers at 17

  6. you want your periods to come

    shame on you

you ask this type of questions

  7. Dont Worry!

    It'll Come Sooner Or Later!

You're Body Is Just Not Ready!

Be Happy While You Dont Have It!

I Used To Want Mine To Start Soon,

But When I Finally Got It,

I Regret I Wanted It To Start!

HAHA. be happy while it havent start!

  8. i had the same symptoms and stuff i didn't start till i was almost 15...now i am 15 just be patient and be glad you don't have it yet!!!

  9. all girls r not same dear,my elder sister started in 15 & i started in 12 & a half.y the way u should be really enjoying this time.ask ur friends & they will tell u that those 5 days r not fun!ur time wil come soon.be happy till then :-)

  10. there's nothing wrong with you

your body just isn't ready yet

it will come when the time is right

    just be patient

and don't compare yourself to your cousin or anyone else because you are two completely different people and develop at different rates

and you haven't HAD puberty, you're IN puberty

saying you've had puberty is saying that you are finished with it, which you are not

and it has very little to do with your weight like some people say

you don't have to be 100 lbs. to get it because i was like 85-90 lbs. when i got mine (i don't know how much that is in kg.)

  11. well, you are pretty light, and small for a 13 year old.

    im 12 i weigh 46, and i am 155cm.

maybe it has to do with your weight, or height, or maybe even ask ur mum wat time she started?

  12. No, you're perfectly normal. You might be a late bloomer. Don't get scared, some girls don't get theirs until their 19. Enjoy it sweetie. Periods are a girls worst enemy. You get cramps, headaches, sometimes even throwing up. You get moody and feel sick the first 2 days sometimes. You can't eat certain foods or it'll smell nastier than it already does. I suggest when you get it use tampons cause pads feels like a diaper that you've pooped in and the smell than come right through and you'll be uncomfortable all day. Trust me, you'll be glad you got to enjoy every month without a period. You'll hate it once you get it.

  13. It sounds like you're well on your way to having your first period, however no one can say exactly when a girl will get her first menstrual period, but usually girls will get it some time during puberty.

Some girls start puberty at age 9 or 10 where others may start as late as age 15 or 16. Each girl goes at her own pace. So don't think that it's a bad thing or that something is wrong if your friends start puberty a little earlier/later than you.

At the beginning of puberty, you'll notice that your b*****s are developing and you're starting to grow a little hair under your arms. Hair also will grow on your genitals (pubic hair). In some girls, the time from the beginning of puberty to getting the first menstrual period may take only 6 months, where as for other girls, it may take longer and can take up to 3 years.  Another sign is vaginal discharge fluid (sort of like mucus) that a girl might see or feel on her underwear. This discharge usually begins about 6 months to a year before a girl gets her first period.

Every girl is different, and there is a wide range of normal development during puberty.

All I can say is that you should be patient, it will happen when your body is ready.

    Good luck :)
