  1. They're not stupid, and don't want to pay billions to be in the country club.

EDIT: Wilhelmo I had no idea the Czech Republic were a member of the EU. When did they join?

  2. Czech republic is - Norway because they're a small country who've  got oil  - Iceland has a high standard of living anyway and is a volcanic island with plenty of thermal energy  .

  3. To much common sense

  4. You are mistaken; the Czeck Republic belongs to the EU

They even have Commissioner in Brussels.

  5. Neither is Switerland. All the people in the countries in the EU can easily get to one country to another very easily, i.e Immigrants.

The U.K stupidly is in the EU and i personlly perfer to be in NATO and G8.

  6. Perhaps they don't want to be.  Being in the EU means giving up some basic control over ones own country.  Some countries don't want to do that.

  7. None of their government ministers stand a chance on getting on board the European gravy train

  8. The Czech Republic is a member of the European Union.

Along with Norway and Iceland, Switzerland also remains outside the European Union. These three countries are the only major Western European countries to remain outside of the European Union.

  11. probably got more sense than the rest of us

  12. Norway and Iceland are both energy independent and Norway has massive oil revenues. I think that's why they decided to stay out.

  13. Who knows?  You'd have to do the research.  Some countries opt out, some don't meet the EU's various standards.

One interesting quirk is that Iceland wants to convert to the Euro but doesn't want to join the EU.  Iceland is concerned about losing control over its natural resources particularly its fishing waters.

  14. Norway and Iceland both voted to stay out.  The Czech Republic have yet to be invited to join.

  15. No interest in being annexed by the growing EU monster

Well done to Norway, Switzerland and Iceland I say, they have full independence and their economies are booming.

Why would they want to pay millions each year to be taken over and have less rights?

They are repeatedly pressured to be full EU members but not suprisingly they will not have any of it
