If stunt men can make cars deathproof, and survive horrific crashes, why aren't all cars made like this?

  1. It's probably too expensive to make, and the car companies won't make much profit from those type of vehicles.

  2. It takes alot of chrome moly tubing!! and no car is death proof, the body can only handle so much, Look at what happened to Dale Earnhardt, Looked like a little bump into the wall......

  3. Cars are made crush in certain areas on impact to absorb the kinetic energy. If this did not happen the car would stop and your body would continue injuring you more. And if one car was Death Proof and the other wasn't the other car would get destroyed! That is why there are head restraint systems required in different racing events like NASCAR and NHRA. Imagine how uncomfortable just driving to the store would be. That is a badass car though that Kurt Russel drives in Death Proof, awesome movie.

  4. Nothing is deathproof.

This may surprise you, but stuntmen are often killed in their "deathproof" cars.  Being a stuntman is one of the most dangerous jobs in the world.

  5. Are you afraid of death? I'm not, I'm looking forward to being with Jesus in Heaven.

  6. Didnt you know, they already are. Pity the drivers are not.

  7. Because they would weigh tons and only do 2 mpg.

  8. Life is cheap - cars aren't.
