  1. OK.

    1.  Cost

    2.  Security

    3.  No need.  Not enough people require teller services at 2am

  2. people will prolly try to rob them more at night , seeing how they get already robbed during the daylight !

thats why they invented ATM machines, they are wonderful even tho you have the dam surcharge for taking out your own money !

  3. 1. people have lives and dont wanna work all day

    2. There's not enough coffee in the world

    3. WTF kinda question is this??

4.There could be WAYYY too many robberies!!

    5. IDK ask a manager of a bank!?!?!

  4. There is no reason for it to be open 24 hours a day. Thats like saying why isn't any other business open 24 hours a day. Its because there aren't enough customers to pay all the workers, electricity, etc...

This question doesn't make any sense. Tellers are almost totally useless now a days.

If you want 24 hour access to a bank, either find a way to work for the banks private banking department, or find a friend that has a private banking relationship with the bank and ask him to take you into the bank through the private banking door. Or save up enough money so one day you will be invited by the bank to join their private banking department.

  5. In a way, banks ARE open 24 hours a day.  On-line banking, ATM machines, etc.

You can make deposits online - you can transfer money from Bank A to Bank B  - you've made a deposit to Bank B!

You can conduct important banking business online - pay bills, transfer funds, set up automatic withdrawals, transfers, etc.

I didn't say ALL services were available 24-7 - I just said IN A WAY banks are open 24 hours a day.  While you cannot conduct all business, you can still do quite a few things when the branch is not open.

  6. A lazy work force is the main reason

  7. Expense.
