Why aren't men's underwear called MANties?

Women have panties, why can't we have manties?

For the same reason they don't have men's bras called "bros".  Although they should.  Some men should just NOT be allowed to go topless or without some form of holding those things in.  :\

Actually, the prefix pan means any so ANYONE can wear panties.

It's just men are often so scared of looking s**y or g*y!
