Question:

Why aren't my Speakers working anymore?

My Dell Computer speakers all of sudden stopped working, they didn't blow out or anything like that I'm sure it's internal problem. My brother did some virus scans and used this one (forgot the name of it) and since then they stopped working. They're plugged in right, and I've searched other places for answers but nothing seems to work...I've followed this procedure START>CONTROL PANEL>Sound,Speech and Audio Devices>change Speaker Settings...and when I get there it won't let me raise the volume (it says low) or mess with the other buttons...Please Help, I like to jam out and I can't anymore :-(

  1. This post is in the wrong place.

What you need to do is go into safe mode and remove the sound card drivers. reboot and it should ask you for the drivers for that sound card. I would also get a good registry cleaner and let that run, usually on the first run it will show over 50 error's in the registry
