Question:

Why aren't our automobiles using steam?

I've been debating this with co-workers over the energy alternative for vehicles and I thought about Steam, water being used to power cars. It use to power ships in the 19th century and early Model Ts in the early 20th century, if we only continued this technology just think how far we could be at today.

  2. Steam engines are half as efficient as the already-inefficient internal combustion engine, why would we want to waste even more energy than we already are?
