Why aren't people complaining to the broadcasters?

The sound level difference between the shows and commercials is "according to the cable company" not changed or regulated by the cable company, then why aren't people complaining to the broadcasters? They are not all the same level when the cable company gets the audio. The commercials are biased up from the original levels before being broadcast to the cable companies. The Scientific Atlanta digital boxes have a way to narrow the levels but recently the broadcasters are getting around that.

We need all that have a problem with that blasting of our ears to complain to the FCC or the broadcasters if you can.

  1. My solution: TiVo everything and forward through the commercials.  Then it doesn't bother you so much.  ;)

  2. Some stations are a lot worse than others - major broadcasters like Fox, ABC, NBC, ... have the most and loudest differences.  I've noticed one thing they are doing is keeping the regular program volume down low - I have to turn up the volume a lot higher, then the commercials are full volume and completely obnoxious.  They may get the hint when no one is watching their channels anymore - which I do as little as possible.  And ya, I record and FF now - especially the loudest and most frequent commercials, so you think they'd learn there is a point where it gets counterproductive to pull their c**p.   Or live tv I just pause and get a good 15 minutes behind and then let it run and FF.
