Why aren't people showing up at the Olympics?

The tickets are all sold out but the lack of people showing up is coming up in hundreds. Why would people waste money like that? I'm sure that the tickets cost quite a bit.

  1. Because when foreign (Foreign to China which includes Americans) athletes' families tried to get tickets, they were all sold out because Chinese companies got all the tickets.


  2. $2200 for a ticket!!!!

  3. Not all the tickets are sold out. The tickets for the Olympics are quite expensive, so most people can't afford them.


  4. There were a lot allocated to sponsors/corporations and there have been reports on tv of scalpers having pre-bought loads of tix and now charging the earth.  

  5. It's because a lot of the tickets are given to sponsors who dun turn up coz, its free.
