Players like Dale Steyn aren't playing and players liek Ab de Villiers and Daniel Vettori are only playing half the tournament do they still get paid the full amount?

Why are some players like Fleming sitting on the bench?

I'm all too confused.

  1. 1)Rules suggests that of team composition should have 8 foreign players, only 4 players can be in the playing 11.

    2) steyn out of groin injury

    3) devillers resting after three match series against indians

    4) vetori and his other teammates of Newzealands will play an away series with England from this first week of may.

    5) Flemming will play from 30th april onwards when players like hayden, hussey, oram  will go to play for their respective countries

  2. Dale Steyn IS playing he will be playing for Bangalore, De Villiers is playing half a tounament because he is need of a rest, and Vettori is playing half of the tournament because he will be touring England with NZ in a months time.

Rules state that only 4 non-Indians can play in the team at one time, that's why Fleming is on the bench.

This should have cleared it up for you.

  3. Alot of players have chosen to stay at home, they are showing what is important to them--their home countries..

Michael Clark has chosen to stay at home also...

No doubt the players who arnt playing all matches will still get their hundred of thousands of dollarss....

  4. u could have only 4 intenational players

  5. Nope

Only 4 forigen players are allowed to play one match.

4 players under-22 should comulsorily play every match.

That is why some big players are to sit on the bench.

  6. most of the players will rather just play for their own team..

  7. As per IPL rules of team composition, though each team can have 8 foreign players, only 4 players can be in the playing 11.
