Hes the perfect fit for the ball club. I dont see why there hasnt been one single rumor or one bit of speculation about this.

  1. Why would Teixeria go to the Giants their rebuilding?...The only team i've heard thats been close to dealing for him is the D-Backs and Atlanta wants Conor Jackson who they won't give up,so he's prolly just gonna stay with Atlanta and either re-sign or become a free agent and likely go to the Yankees or Angels.

  2. Sorry, but how in the h**l is Mark Teixeira a perfect fit for the Giants?  They're rebuilding, they don't need to trade away their farm for him.

  3. i think there are rumors. i know i read one somewhere. try mlbtraderumors.com

but i wouldnt trade any of the giants' top prospects for him.

  4. right now? cause the Giants are way out of anything. If they got him now, then what? A run at the NL West?  They are too far back to be giving way future prospects for this year run. They would have to give up prospects and the quality Giant prospects are fairly low in the organization.

Now after the season, the Giants could try to sign him to a big free agent contract.

  5. They don't have the prospects or don't see it worth it to give up the prospects to justify it. They're 10 games out with ~60 games to play.

  6. The giants are in rebuilding mode.

Also, they can't get anybody when they would rather give 100+ million to underachievers live Barry Zito.

Not that he is that bad of a pitcher because SF has arguably a top 5 SP rotation in the league.  When you have no run support what can you do.

  7. a) hes not a perfect fit

    b) they don't have that kind of money now.

He'll go to the Yankees or Dodgers.
