Why aren't the migratory birds flying over SJC so often this year?

We are having the same problem at VNJ. Local bird watchers attribute it to the extremely windy weather we have been have for the last few months.

2 years ago at SYT we experienced the same problem. Local scientists attributed it to some kind of walking pneumonia and  boogie woogie flu. I just couldn´t accept that answer so I spoke with a group of folks over at GHT and they in turn referred me to an ornithologist group over at SDE. I just couldn´t keep up with the acronyms so I gave up....
