  1. Oh yes yes.. it is rising..very slowly . most people din't really notice it unless those stay near the seaside from young. I stayed near the sea, i have been watching it rising, and it is getting more obvious these pass few years.

  2. Why doesn't ice melting in a cup of water cause it to overflow when it melts.   The ice displaces a given amount of water.

So when the ice melts, the water remains the same height.

So even an iceberg melting will not cause it to  rise, because even though the ice above the water will melt, the weight of it is displacing that much more water already.

Rising in the summertime it just seasonal fluctuation.    You would need to take it over the course of a year and take an average.. or compare a number of summertime readings to show that it was rising.

Now.  Antarctic ice or greenland ice is another story.  Those melting can cause it to rise.   but not all that much.

  3. it probably will, just not like tomorrow or anything. theres a LOT of ice, and it melts pretty slow. water also evaporates..

  4. It is rising. I live right on the coast of NYC. And I mean right on the coast. Seriously, the beach is a block away. And the ocean level is rising, just not fast enough for you to notice it. Slowly it rises, especially in the summer.

The swells of the waves are getting larger and more common, making the surfers in my area really happy...

It'll take decades for the ocean to completely cover NYC. Global warming is not a lie, nor is it a scam. It's true.
