Why aren't there a lot of sonics like mcds or jack in the box?

Sonic is a pretty popular and talked about place but why aren't many of them?

Well I live in Dallas and There's a Sonic pretty much a few miles from each other here.

bc they are southern and weastern chains, its funny bc, i used to live in southern california  and there were lots of jack in the box and lots of sonics, now that i moved to the midwest there are hardley any sonics where i live.

Because Sonic is basically a drive in and here in the Midwest, the weather is terrible. I ate at Sonic when I was in Vegas and it was delicious!

It's a regional thing.  I've never even seen a Jack in the Box, because they're regional too.
