there are not as many as men but women do play snooker and have world tournaments, more common in Europe than north america

Psychologists say that snooker/pool is a game that requires quite a sound understanding of mathematics,physics and demands a technical mind.Unfortunately, women dont possess 'all' these qualities simultaneously and thus are not gud at the game...(I am sorry if any gal is offended by this answer but its true!..lol)
