  1. Because all fossil fuels contain carbon, since they came from things that were once living. When they are combusted to get their energy they form carbon dioxide, which is a greenhouse gas.

  2. Not sure what you mean by "environmentally friendly".

Fossil fuels are not renewable because the time scale for them to form is so much longer than the time scale to use them.  Sustainable energy must come from a renewable source or by definition it is not sustainable.

Do you mean air pollution?  If fuels were pure substances, then combustion products would only be CO2 and water.  However, they are not so a lot of other things end up coming out our exhaust pipes like aerosols and ozone.

Do you mean climate friendly?  Any massive output of CO2 or any greenhouse gas into the atmosphere that isn't balanced by some sequestration will result in a net increase of that gas's concentration.  Since there are some 6 billion of us of which at least 3 billion drive cars and have access to fossil fuel energy sources (coal, etc.), that's a lot of greenhouse gases outputs and it really does add up to result in a net accumulation of such gases in the atmosphere, exacerbated by our need to chop down trees.

  3. because there isnt

  4. The most profitable and easy ways are to pollute...the green ways cost more money, and require more effort...

  5. Cus all fossil fuels emit CO2 and they're not renewable.
