Why aren't there handicap accessible taxis in Hayward, CA?

  1. What exactly do you mean by "handicap accessible"?  

    If you mean with wheelchair lifts, it could be because it isn't considered a "reasonable accommodation" to spend thousands, maybe tens of thousands, to equip a vehicle with hardware that will only be used by a tiny fraction of potential customers.  

    If you mean taxis that most handicapped people can get in and out of, then there are such taxis.  Because most vehicles are just fine for that purpose.


  2. have you checked? most taxi companies will have vans which

    will accompate wheelchair/disable passenegrs (they wont have a lift  but they should have a ramp)
