Why aren't there screamo stations?

i thought this was a pretty good Q. why doesnt the radio have any screamo stations??? i dont see a reason not too. can someone please explain this? thanks.

my area has a some what screamo station 104.1 the blaze is hard rock but some songs have screamo...but only very few...Woo go Nebraska

There isn't a solid fan base for the music and it would be insanely hard for them to find high-paying advertisers. Besides, the ratings would be ****, anyway.

b/c its a minority of the population who can handle screamo.  the majority (that listen to radio) dont listen to it.

Not enough people in a general area usually are fans of it. Except in certain sections of the midwest, west coast, and north east; it's usually never heard at all on radio.

This is why services like Sirius can sponsor a station such as that.

I personally however stream harder/faster from Boston's WAAF to get that kind of music (It's a weekday music show at 11pm EST)
