Question:

Why aren't these murders being covered by the news media?

Today, the US military is helping to recover the bodies of women and children killed by Al-Qaeda in Diyala Province, and then buried in a mass grave.

They report every unsubstantiated allegation against our soldiers without retraction when proven false and don't report on this?

I have added the press release to my blog and it remains on the RSS feed. Surely every reporter in Iraq as well as every news service in the world watches the CentCom press release feed. Why do they say nothing about the innocent civilians killed by AQ in Iraq?

To help in answering that question for those that care about our troops and the truth about the war, I've added an RSS feed from CentCom that gives the lastest press releases out of both fronts.

No politics. Just the groundtruth from a combat veteran that has been to both fronts in the War on Terror. National Security transcends party lines.

  1. Because we no longer have a true "impartial" media source. Possibly you may want to look up the speech from when Senator Clinton was First Lady, she discussed  a "vast right wing conspiracy". At the time a lot of folks had a good laugh. I believed her with a slight shudder of fear... I do not believe there is an Osama Bin Laden. Doubt there ever was. I believe there is a move on to bring down the United States as we know it and I believe the conspiracy is from within. Our apathy is reaching the standard of the german people who serviced the camps..."we only did as we were told...." , meanwhile Dubya says "torture em" and yet allows our troops to languish in jail for fullfilling that duty? I read Steve Reinhardt, watch news, read two papers and hang onto this machine in my old age and somehow I am watching history repeat itself. Pitiful~

    BUT!

When my kid was in high school in the late eighties, they wouldn't report the girls accomplishments in the States major paper because there "wasn't enough to,..." I kept my eye on my prize and did not leave the sports section alone. Argued for other girls at other schools as well. They got to hate me and then put up with me and then they just did the right thing. The media is not doing the right thing anywhere, would you? look what happened to Dan Rather? If that wasn't a set up I will show Geraldo where Hoffas body is...

  2. Maybe because the body count we have caused is over 650,000?

  3. John, I will only say this--who do you think pays countless millions of dollars to the very politicians who run this war?

John, you might also want to question those in authority (your congressmen/women, senators and even the Commander in Chief of the Armed forces) as to why they don't seem to concerned about making sure these things are reported.

    Just some food for thought.

  4. The same reason we were inundated with c**p about Anna Nicole's death the day President Bush was bestowing a posthumous medal of honor.?!?  Then again, you have to dig to find out about any of the 4 CMH's that have been awarded during the war.

Let it never be said when I'm wrong I hide it.  I thought there was a Navy Seal who had received the CMH along with Cpl. Jason L. Dunham and SFC Paul R. Smith along with one more member of the army.  I was wrong.  However, my answer still stands.  Why is it that two individuals who represented all the best of our country were glossed over for story's that did not matter.

I'd like to add.  Why is it all these people that parrot a party line about 650k Iraqi civilians killed always run away from a discussion that asks the simple question "How many of those killed were by their own countryman and terrorists?".

  5. Cause we've killed 650,000. And no sign of abating.

  6. because the news media is a bunch of liberal pricks, trying to turn our country against the president and the military.

  7. They cannot report in detail upon every crime in the world. When the crime has a direct bearing on the US (ie Americans were the culprits or victims) of course they will report it.

Stop looking for some bizzarre conspiracy - there isn't one. The media do not hate out troops - why would they?? Instead they, unlike you evidently, hold our troops to a higher standard than AQ terrorists.

  8. You will find the American public blindly follows two paths.

One that the media tells them to follow and gulp everything down as easy as pie and blindly spout off to their friends at the water cooler that they saw this on the news.

the other that believes nothing that the media says and follows the conspiracy theories.

    Look at our Congress.

    Look at who's running

Both say they are right, the truth is always in between.

  9. You make a very salient point.  It's sad that "news" has been debased to the extent that it is used to serve a political purpose.  Our so-called journalists should be ashamed of themselves.
